How to change your Gmail password whenever you want in a few quick steps
STEP 1: LOG IN TO YOUR GOOGLE ACCOUNT
Go to the Google account page and click the blue Sign in button in the upper right corner.
Enter your login information as requested and, if necessary, verify your identity by authenticating two factors.
STEP 2: OPEN YOUR SECURITY CONFIGURATIONS
Click on the Security tab and a series of options will appear. Scroll down until you find the section labeled Sign in to Google.
STEP 3: CHANGE YOUR PASSWORD
Find the section titled Password. It will tell you when you last changed it and if you have two-step verification enabled. Click on the Password button and, when prompted, enter your password again to confirm your identity. You will then be asked to enter a new password. Make sure it's complicated, with a combination of numbers, letters, uppercase, and special characters. If you are worried about forgetting it, use a password manager.
Once you have verified the password, the change will be completed and your account will be nice and secure. This is also a good time to double-check the other details of your account, such as recovery methods and two-step verification.
If you access your email on an Android tablet or Smartphone, the method to change your password is a bit different, but not more complicated.
Open the Gmail application and click on the three-line menu icon in the upper left corner. Next, select Settings at the bottom of the menu and then choose the account you want to change. Click Manage your Google account, followed by the menu key and then Security. Alternatively, you can scroll through the top menu and touch the same option.
Touch the Password section and enter your current password. Then enter your new one, confirm it and everything is ready.
